CANNABIS INTERVENTION
SESSIONS
281. Hon Dr BRIAN WALKER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer the minister to the answer
that she was good enough to provide to my question without notice 1248 on 24 November
2022 on cannabis intervention sessions, and I search for further clarification
around the processes involved.
Will the minister table the
educational material, or so much of it as is available in a printed format,
given by the contracted organisations to clients during these intervention
sessions?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
The aim of the cannabis
intervention session is to increase awareness of the health effects of cannabis
use and enhance motivation to change drug-using behaviour. Mental Health Commission
contracted agencies are required to discuss with, and provide educational
materials to, participants when needed. The Mental Health Commission does not
maintain copies of the materials provided as part of the intervention.
