Kalgoorlie Health Campus—Radiology billing
316. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
(1) Can the minister confirm that in
January this year she met with representatives of private radiology service
providers from Kalgoorlie?
(2) Were concerns raised at that time
about radiology billing practices at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, including
allegations that patients were being billed for services they had not received?

(1)–(2) I can confirm that in January I met with
the organisation that the member referred to. The representatives raised a
number of issues with me, and some of those went to issues of what I have
described as broader irregularities. I can confirm that the consistent advice I
have received from the department was that there were no irregularities in how
the billing was being conducted at that health service.
