AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) No.
(a) The
estimated completion date for the feasibility study is December 2012. The
government has been approached by sporting clubs in the region and held
discussions with the City of Canning to discuss the lack of playing fields in
the area. On this basis a commitment has been made to the project to
demonstrate the government's support in addressing this issue.
(b) Not applicable.
(2) The sports complex is expected to contain playing fields
and supporting infrastructure.
(3) See (2).
(4) The City
of Canning, the Department of Sport and Recreation and the WA Planning
Commission are jointly funding the feasibility study.
(5) The overall cost will be determined as part of the
feasibility study.
(6) This will be determined after the feasibility study is
completed.
