CONCRETE BATCHING
FACILITIES — RELOCATION
740. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the minister representing the Minister for Planning:
My question without notice is asked
on behalf of Hon Tjorn Sibma who is on urgent parliamentary business.
What measures is the minister
undertaking to find commercially and operationally feasible alternative
locations for two concrete batching facilities that will be evicted from East
Perth before 2024 as a consequence of the state government's approval
of the City of Vincent's local planning scheme 2?

I thank Hon Tjorn Sibma for some
notice of the question.
The Department of Planning, Lands
and Heritage has and is providing advice on planning matters to Hansen and
Holcim as they investigate relocation options. This included support through
the formation of a concrete batching stakeholder working group to understand
industry's needs and requirements. Discussions between Hansen, Holcim
and DPLH are ongoing.
