JOONDALUP HEALTH CAMPUS —
REDEVELOPMENT
468. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the McGowan government's
$167 million election commitment to the Joondalup Health Campus redevelopment
stage 2 expansion project.
(1) Does the
provision of $158.7 million to the expansion project listed under ''Works
in Progress'' in the WA Health Asset Investment Program table on page
282 of budget paper No 2, volume 1, refer to the commonwealth government's
funding commitment, which was announced in April 2018?
(2) If yes, where is the state
government's commitment?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I have been advised the following.
(1) Yes. The
state successfully negotiated $158 million in funding from the commonwealth
under the project agreement for Western Australian public hospitals.
(2) A project
definition plan to clarify the final scope and costings for the project is now
being developed. Any additional funding identified as being required over and
above the commonwealth funding would be provided by the state.
