For each department, agency and Government Trading Enterprise within the Minister's portfolio of responsibilities, I ask: (a) how many staff grievances have been lodged for financial years 2013-14; 2014-15 and 2015-16; (b) how many of those grievances are outstanding as at 30 June 2016; (c) how many of those grievances are resolved as at 30 June 2016; and (d) for those grievances resolved: (i) how many were dismissed; (ii) how many were upheld; and (iii) how many were partly upheld?

Information for financial years 2013-14 and 2014-15 is unavailable as there was no central reporting of these matters until quarter 4 of financial year 2014-15 when policies and procedures were finalised following the merger of Verve Energy and Synergy on 1 January 2014.
While Synergy is not subject to the Public Sector Standards in Human Resource Management as set out under the Public Sector Management Act 1994, its policies such as the Code of Conduct and Work Place Behaviours Standards align with the principles of this act.

Notwithstanding, the standards are definitive, in that they must be adhered to by those public sector organisations falling within their jurisdiction.
Whilst Western Power is not within that jurisdiction, is aspires to meet the intent of the standards, whilst not required to do so.
