752. Hon DIANE EVERS to the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the revised groundwater
quality monitoring program at the former Jangardup mine and my question without
notice 137 asked on 20 February.
(1) Has the Department of Water and Environmental
Regulation completed a review of the revised groundwater monitoring
program that was provided to it by the proponent in January 2020?
(a) If no, why not, and when is it is
it expected to be completed?
(2) If yes, will the minister please
table the report; and, if not, why not?

(1) No.
(a) The
Department of Water and Environmental Regulation received an updated version of
the plan in July 2020 from the proponent that addressed advice from the
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. DWER is expecting the
review to be completed after receiving advice on the updated plan from the
Environmental Protection Authority. The plan is anticipated to be finalised by
the end of September 2020.
(2) Not applicable.
