PYRTON SITE - ASBESTOS
I refer to the Pyrton site in Eden Hill. (1) Is the government aware of a report by the Asbestos Diseases Society on the level of asbestos scattered across the site; and, if so, does the government agree with the report’s findings, and, if not, why not? (2) Has the government undertaken its own investigation of - (a) the level of asbestos particles found throughout the site; and (b) the community’s exposure to airborne asbestos fibres? If so, what was the outcome of the investigation? (3) If no to (2), does the government intend to undertake such an investigation; and, if not, why not? (4) Does the government believe that the site is in breach of the Health (Asbestos) Regulations 1992; and, if not, why not? Hon SUE ELLERY
