I refer to the proposed Yeelirrie uranium mine on tenements held by WMC on Yeelirrie station. (1) Did the minister state in a letter to the Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs on 24 October 2001 that WMC has the right to submit proposals for the development of its project until June 2002? (2) If yes to (1), does the minister consider that in the absence of such proposals WMC has forfeited its right to submit such a proposal? (3) If no to (2), why not? (4) Has WMC submitted a closure plan to the department; and if yes, will the minister table this plan?
