I refer to the Coroners Court, and I ask: (a) how many cases are currently backlogged with the Coroners Court awaiting processing; (b) of the cases backlogged with the Coroners Court, how many have been waiting: (i) less than six months; (ii) between six and 12 months; (iii) between 12 and 18 months; (iv) between 18 and 24 months; and (v) more than 24 months; and (c) what action is the Minister taking to reduce the median time to trial in the Coroners Court to less than 52 weeks?

(c) The current 2014/15 target published in the Budget Statement for the median time to trial is 128 weeks. As at 30 June 2014, the median time to trial was 112 weeks.
