I refer to the Minister’s answer to my Question on Notice No. 582 where WA Country Health Service advised that it does not record data on wait times or travel times for sexual assault forensic examinations, and I ask: (a) what information or performance measures does the Government rely on to assess whether victims are receiving timely access to forensic evidence collection service; (b) does the Government collect any data on the time between a patient presenting to a health service and a forensic examination being conducted: (i) if yes to (b), please table the data; and (c) has the Government considered implementing a statewide system to record wait times and travel times for sexual assault forensic examinations: (i) if no to (c), why not?

a) The Responding to a Recent Sexual Assault Mandatory Policy (MP 0192/25) is a statewide mandatory policy that requires Health Service Providers to have local policies in place to ensure victims receive timely access to forensic evidence collection services following sexual assault.
b) No. Data is not formally collected on the time between presentation and forensic examination.
c)  No. A single statewide system is not in place, as data is held across multiple agencies. Examination timing is based on clinical needs, not fixed time targets.
