Parents were represented on the Local Area Education Planning Drafting Committee which met in 2005 and 2006 to develop options for the provision of primary education in the area.
Since the announcement of the new school in June 2007, representatives of the school communities have been appointed to the Implementation Committee and to the Project Consultation Group.
A parent information evening was held on 7 November 2007 to inform parents of the details of the project. A similar meeting for the wider community was held on 20 November 2007.
