I thank the minister for his answer, and I have a supplementary question. Can the minister say when the review of the patient assisted travel scheme will take place? Could a National Party member be involved in the review, to provide advice for the minister? Mr J.A. McGINTY

The National Party may have to compete with the government’s half-back line! I have asked the Department of Health to do the review. If the member has any views, particularly about the country health service, he may like to feed them in. Christine O’Farrell is the person responsible there. That should be done fairly quickly, because this issue has arisen, as the member knows, only in recent times, with the very steep rise in petrol prices. We are trying to look at what it is possible to do. We would welcome any feedback the member has.
