Hon Dee Margetts questions the Premier regarding infrastructure upgrades at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) to accommodate US Navy (USN) ships, following a parliamentary visit report. I refer to the ‘Report on Parliamentary Visit to the United States of America’ tabled in Parliament by Mark McGowan MLA. The report indicates that ‘...The infrastructure needs of the site may not be sufficient to meet the needs of USN ships. We have requested further advice in relation to this matter. However, we understand that their electrical, sewerage and water mains requirements may not be met by the AMC at present. This may mean some additional improvements to the site need to be carried out.’ -
(1) Has the Government received the further advice it was requested?
(2) If yes to (1), what was the nature of this advice?
(3) If yes to (1), will the Premier table the advice received from the US Navy?
(4) Has the Government undertaken any preliminary work in costing the additional improvements which may need to be carried out?
(5) If yes to (4), will the Premier table any such documentation?
(6) Can the Premier describe the nature of the additional improvements which may be required?
