LOTTERIES COMMISSION BOARD, APPOINTMENTS
Since taking up office, has the Government made any new appointments to the Lotteries Commission board; and, if so, who are the new members and what qualifications do they bring to the board? Hon N.D. GRIFFITHS

AnswerView source ↗

Yes, the Government has made appointments to the board of the Lotteries Commission since taking office. The first appointee was Mrs Anne Conti. She brings a wealth of experience to the board of the Lotteries Commission. She has a significant background in public affairs and has been involved in other activities. As such, she has demonstrated her capacity to significantly contribute to the work of the Lotteries Commission. The other appointee was Mrs Pat Tassell. Mrs Tassell also has had considerable experience in dealing with areas that are the subject of the work of the Lotteries Commission. In fact, she was involved in dealing with grants processes some years ago. She is a businesswoman of significant experience. The Government will shortly announce a further appointment, which will be taken up on 25 March. It is not appropriate that the announcement be made just yet.
