1. As reported in the 2014-15 Department of Education Services Annual Report and in accordance with the Teachers Registration Board Western Australia Schedule of Fees as prescribed in the Teacher Registration (General) Regulations 2012 , the Teachers Registration Board Western Australia received $5,290,000 in fees associated with teacher registration. Fees collection is not recorded in terms of employment sector.
2. Nil.
3. 42,420 teachers held Full Registration, as at 16 March 2016.
4. 6,143 teachers held Provisional Registration, as at 16 March 2016.
5. ‘Graduates’ is not a category of registration recognised under the Teacher Registration Act 2012 . Provisional Registration is the entry category for teacher registration in Western Australia and is open to those who have graduated from an accredited Initial Teacher Education Programme. In 2015, 2055 applications for Provisional Registration were approved.
6. In the 2014-15 financial year, the Department of Education Services administered $403,318,488 in student grants to non-government schools. None of this funding has any relationship to fees collected by the Teacher Registration Board.
7.The TRBWA as a regulatory body has not been chartered with responsibility to promote or enhance the status of the teaching profession in Western Australia.
