I refer to funding provided by the Department of Culture and the Arts to Artsource WA for the purpose of supporting regional artists, and I ask: (a) does funding provided to Artsource include an identifiable component for the support of regional artists; (b) if yes to (a): (i) in each of 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, how much funding was provided to Artsource to support regional artists; and (ii) were KPIs established to measure the effectiveness of that funding and, if yes what were those KPIs; (c) if no to (a), why not; (d) has Artsource provided the Department for Culture and the Arts with acquittal reports that detail the expenditure of funding intended to support regional artists and the success or otherwise in meeting any KPIs established for that funding; (e) if yes to (d), will the Minister table copies of the acquittal reports; and (f) if no to (e), why not?

(a) No. While the funding provided by the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA) to Artsource does support regional artists, it is not separately identified within the DCA's Funding Agreement with Artsource.
(b) (i)-(ii) Not applicable.
(c) Artsource is funded on a triennial basis by the DCA. This funding supports core costs that enable the organisation to deliver its program across Western Australia. The DCA currently contracts against the activity outlined in Artsource's 2015-2017 Business Plan which does include support for regional artists.
(d) As per Schedule D of the Funding Agreement with DCA, Artsource is required to submit Audited Financial Statements and an Annual Report. This report is due on 31 May 2015 for the organisations activity in 2014.
(e) Annual Reports are available directly from Artsource.
(f) Not applicable.
