b) The cards were issued under the Department of Housing and Works’ corporate credit card policy, which meets the requirements of Treasurer’s Instructions 321. The policy has a stringent process for the issue of cards to officers and states several conditions of use. The credit card arrangements date from 16 July 1997 for the Chairperson of State Housing Commission and 9 January 2003 for the Chairperson of Aboriginal Housing Infrastructure Council. c) Corporate credit card statement transactions are monitored on a monthly basis.

I have been advised that
a) For incurring expenses in dispensing their responsibilities as Chairpersons of the respective Boards. To date the cards have only been used for business travel. Lloyd Guthrey’s term expired on 30 June 2003 and his credit card was cancelled. The current Chairman, The Hon Ian Taylor, does not, as yet, have a credit card.
