COMMUNITY EMERGENCY
SERVICES MANAGERS
773. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Emergency Services:
I refer to community emergency
services managers.
(1) Are CESMs
employed by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services covered by the
presumptive post-traumatic stress disorder protections announced by the state
government on 6 April 2023?
(2) Are CESMs employed by local
government similarly covered by the presumptive PTSD protections?
(3) If no to (2),
why not; and will the minister commit to urgently rectifying this inequity
between DFES and local government-employed staff who are undertaking the same
duties?
