I refer to the 2022 Enough is Enough report into sexual harassment against women in the FIFO mining industry, and I ask: (a) Can the Minister confirm whether The Department has implemented an effective and comprehensive data management system capable of monitoring, recording, and reporting incidents of sexual harassment in the mining industry; (b) What upgrades or improvements to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) data management systems have been undertaken in 2023-24 specifically to track workplace sexual harassment and assault; (c) How many reports of sexual harassment and assault were recorded by DMIRS in 2023-24? How does this compare to previous years; (d) How many non-disclosure agreements (NDA) or private settlements relating to sexual harassment or assault were reported to or known by DMIRS during the 2023-24 financial year; (e) Is the Minister aware of any cases in which NDAs were used to conceal incidents that would otherwise have triggered mandatory reporting obligations to DMIRS or WA Police; and (f) What safeguards are in place within DMIRS’ data systems to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive information relating to sexual misconduct cases?
