Minister for Transport:
I refer to an article in the Eastern Suburbs Reporter on 29 May 2012,
''Woman's terrifying 3am taxi ride''.
(1) What action
has the Department of Transport taken regarding the issues raised in this
article?
(2) Has an
investigation been completed; and, if yes, what was the outcome?
(3) Has the
driver involved in the alleged incident had their licence cancelled or
suspended; and, if yes, on what date did this occur and how long is any
suspension for?
(4) Has the
department, police or any taxi dispatch service received any previous
complaints or allegations regarding the driver involved in this incident; and,
if yes, what was the nature and date of the previous alleged incident?

Department of Transport referred the issues to the Western Australia Police
sexual assault squad. The investigation by Western Australia Police is ongoing.
