(1) I refer to the Government’s decision to re-route the Southern suburbs railway through South Perth-Como and Salter Point and ask is the Minister aware that the Government appointed Commissioners at the City of South Perth have expressed their anger over the Government’s failure to consult before such a major decision was made?
(2) Is the Minister aware that the Government-appointed Chairman of Commissioner’s also expressed his astonishment at the Government’s failure to consult and that it follows the costly error of the 1950s in alienating the rivers and foreshore from South Perth-Como?
(3) Does the Minister believe that the Government-appointed Commissioners have been badly treated in their interim task of protecting the local government rights of the people of the City of South Perth?
