parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the PathWest laboratory located at Collie
Hospital.
(1) How many
of the following PathWest business streams are now outsourced entirely to other
PathWest offices —
(a) clinical pathology;
(b) microbiology and infectious
diseases;
(c) tissue pathology; and
(d) branch laboratories?
(2) How many
full-time equivalent positions have been cut from PathWest Collie in the last
12 months?
(3) How many FTE positions will be cut from PathWest Collie
in the next 12 months?
(4) How many staff are currently employed on permanent
contracts?
(5) Has the
minister or any Department of Health officers made representations to PathWest
to ensure pathology services are not cut at Collie Hospital; and, if not, why
not?
