I thank the member
for some notice of the question.
(1) The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation
and Attractions' (DBCA) south coast region's combined annual recurrent budget
for prescribed burning and bushfire mitigation includes all national parks and
reserves in the region. In addition, the south coast region receives funding
from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage through the Mitigation
Activity Fund (MAF) for prescribed burning and bushfire mitigation on
unallocated Crown land (UCL). The following recurrent budget and MAF
allocations for the DBCA south coast region were:
(a) for 2023–24; $2.27 million;
(b) for 2024–25; $2.4 million; and
(c) for 2025–26; $2.67 million
(2) The following mitigation works were undertaken
in and adjacent to Fitzgerald River National Park. That part of the answer is
in tabular form. I seek leave to have that part incorporated into Hansard .
