I thank the member for some notice of this question. Work on the redevelopment of Margaret River District Hospital has commenced and architectural consultants Bateman Grundmann Wilson Jones were appointed by the Department of Housing and Works in December 2003. A project working group including representation from key stakeholders in the area has been created to have input into the design of the redevelopment. The project working group had its initial meeting on 15 March 2004. Following confirmation of preliminary planning and subject to completion of the tender process, construction is due to commence in December 2004 or January 2005 with a scheduled completion date of October 2005. The project, which will include enhancements to the emergency department, medical imaging, pathology, day surgery and primary care areas is anticipated to be completed by October 2005.
