PUBLIC
HOUSING — WOODBRIDGE
1241. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
Minister for Housing:
I refer to the 10 public housing properties in Woodbridge
which, as at 31 August 2015, were awaiting demolition.
(1) Why have these houses been scheduled for demolition?
(2) How and when will they be replaced?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1) The
complex was experiencing structural stress due to soil movement that had deteriorated
over the past year. The complex was demolished as it was uneconomical to
repair.
(2) The redevelopment potential and options for the future
use of the land are being considered.
