DRUG AND DRINK–DRIVING REDUCTION — OPERATION RAID

No, it is not. I do not agree with that at all. I think we have a good record of catching people who use drink, in particular, and drugs when they are driving. We have a very good record, which will be intensified over the Christmas period. I am sure we will be announcing that there will be a lot more police officers under the strategic targeted enforcement program. We have every intention of catching as many people as we can who are abusing the road rules by drinking and driving and putting the lives of others at risk. One thing we take very seriously over this side is road safety. Indeed, we take very seriously those people who flout the law and put the lives of others at risk.
