I refer to page 416 of Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 2, the line-item for "Adult Corrective Services" under "Service Summary expenses", and to the Minister for Police’s recent answer to my estimates hearings question on 26 June 2025 which confirmed that compliance with post-sentence supervision order (PSSO) conditions is managed by the Department of Justice, and I ask: (a) how many offenders in the metropolitan area are currently subject to a PSSO; (b) further to (a), how many of those offenders are child sex offenders; (c) how many full-time equivalents within the Department are allocated to monitoring compliance with PSSO conditions; (d) in reference to (c), what has been the annual cost of this function for each of the past three years; (e) has the Department identified any breaches of PSSO conditions by offenders in the past five years; (f) if yes to (e), how many resulted in prosecution; and (g) what additional resources have been allocated in the 2025-26 Budget to strengthen the Department’s management of offenders subject to PSSOs?
