(1) Yes.
(2) In 2010, the Government Architect, Mr Steve Woodland chaired a steering committee to consider future options in the vicinity of Parliament House. The purpose of the work was to investigate opportunities to provide additional government accommodation near Dumas House and improved accommodation for Parliament House staff and committees.
Consultants engaged by the steering committee produced a Parliamentary Precinct Masterplan that included options and recommendations. Some concepts did contemplate the possibility of bridging over the freeway.
The cost to produce the Parliamentary Precinct Masterplan was $96,020.
(3) There is no amount in the 2012-13 State Budget or in the forward estimates to progress any proposal to build over the freeway.
