(1)-(2) There are many formal and informal requests through my office, the Office of the Appeals Convenor, the EPA and the DEC for me to meet with proponents, appellants and project representatives. Given this, it is not possible to provide a complete answer to the Member.
Consistent with the long standing practice of Environment Ministers, I do not met with  proponents or appellants (or their representatives) to discuss a project when it is under appeal.
However, in some cases, proponents or appellants may wish to meet with me to discuss issues unrelated to the project currently under appeal. For example, large companies and conservation groups may request a meeting with me to discuss and range of issues. In those cases, my office makes it clear that projects under appeal will not be discussed and I make it clear at the start of the meeting that I will not discuss projects under appeal.
