I refer to the number of social worker full time equivalents (FTEs) allocated to South West (SW) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), noting that at June 2010 two social worker FTEs were allocated, however this was subsequently cut back to one only, and ask —
(1) When did this occur and what was the reason for this cut, especially in light of the workload, wait times and the SW CAMHS business case calling for urgent additional resourcing?
(2) As at 1 September 2012, how many social worker FTEs were allocated to SW CAMHS?

(1) There has only ever been 1 FTE Senior Social Worker position in South West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
There are a number of generic positions within the CAMHS team that can be filled by a psychologist, social worker, nurse or occupational therapist. This is why the number of specific professions may have fluctuated over the past two years.
(2) There is 1 FTE dedicated Social Worker.
