Paediatric services—Waitlist
676. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
I have a
supplementary question. Has a clear procedure been established between CAHS and
CAMHS to avoid unnecessary delays and even longer wait times, as we have seen?

AnswerView source ↗

As I said, member,
we are continuing to look at how we can improve the service that parents
receive and streamline access to it. One of the things that is a feature of
this service is that a child might be referred for more than one assessment, so
we are continuing to work with CAHS and the child development service to make
improvements in that area so that people can get access more quickly to the
support they need, and we will continue to do that.
