(a) There are numerous individual projects identified within the general areas of Mandurah,
City Beach, Esperance and Geraldton. The following projects are proceeding:
· Mandurah area: The Dawesville project is proceeding and is expected to be completed by April 2015.
· City Beach area: City Beach is undergoing investigation.
· Esperance area: Projects in Esperance were completed on 3 July 2013.
· Geraldton area: The South Geraldton project was completed on 5 April 2014.
(b) Yes - where the projects proceed to construction, the timelines are met.
(c) The costs associated with these projects are:
· Mandurah (Dawesville) was expected to cost $18m in 2013 and is now expected to cost $18.13m.
· City Beach was expected to cost $7m in 2013. Latest indications are that it could cost around $11.5m.
· The Esperance project was expected to cost $4.15m in 2013 and the actual cost at completion was $4.494 million.
· The project in South Geraldton was expected to cost $2.5m in 2013 and the actual cost at completion was $2.653 million.
(d) Projects proceeding to completion in the nominated areas are expected to cost approximately $25m at completion of contract works.
(e) Projects in Mandurah are under construction. Projects in Esperance and Geraldton are
completed. Projects in City Beach are on hold pending investigation.
(f) The projects proceeding to construction will be complete within the forward estimates
period. There is no ongoing capital requirement beyond the forward estimates.
