I refer to the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, and I ask: (a) how many full time equivalent (FTE) staff work for the Department as part of the Minister's Ports portfolio? Understanding that there may be some crossover, please provide by number with purely Ports focus as well as the number of others who fall at least partially within the portfolio, by FTE?

a) There are 11 FTE in Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure’s (DMTI) Ports team. Their work primarily focuses on the Minister for Ports’ portfolio but also work closely with DTMI’s Freight team on broader supply chain issues which fall under the Minister for Transport and the Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport’s portfolios.
DTMI’s FTE is available in the Department of Transport Annual Report 2024-25.
