MINISTER FOR ENVIRONMENT — HON CHERYL EDWARDES
(1) On how many occasions has the minister met, either formally or informally, with Ms Cheryl Edwardes since the state election? (2) Is Ms Edwardes providing advice to the minister on the performance of her ministerial or political duties? (3) Did Ms Edwardes recommend or suggest the appointment of the minister’s principal policy officer, Simon Taylor? (4) Is the minister aware that Ms Edwardes is an environmental lawyer with Minter Ellison handling environmental approval matters for her clients? Hon Sally Talbot asked me on how many occasions I have met with Hon Cheryl Edwardes. I will have to get back to the member on that. I obviously know Hon Cheryl Edwardes. She was an excellent minister for the environment in the former Court government. I do not see that there is a problem with meeting with Hon Cheryl Edwardes. I am quite sure that many members of this house have met with Hon Cheryl Edwardes on a number of occasions. With respect to the other matters, I ask the member to place the question on notice.
