I refer to Stand-alone Power Systems (SPS) in Western Australia, and I ask: (a) has any cost-benefit analysis been conducted by Western Power or the Department of Energy on the SPS program: (i) if so, please table the findings; (b) has the Department received any formal complaints or concerns from customers or stakeholders regarding SPS performance, cost or suitability; and (c) what measures are in place to ensure the SPS rollout delivers value for money for taxpayers and electricity?

(a) Western Power has conducted cost-benefit analysis on Stand-alone Power Systems (SPS).
(i) The specifics of Western Power’s business cases are commercial in confidence.
(b) The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification has not received any formal complaints or concerns regarding SPS.
(c) Horizon Power’s SPS rollout is designed to deliver value for money for both taxpayers and electricity consumers through a robust procurement and governance framework. Western Power has a robust investment evaluation process which is overseen by the independent regulator, the Economic Regulation Authority.
