Minister for Police
Response time

(1) – (4)
WA Police record phone reports concerning alleged offences for Reckless Driving (Section 60), Dangerous Driving (Section 61), Careless Driving (Section 62), and Causing Excessive Noise or Smoke from Vehicle’s Tyres (Section 62A) on the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system as a ‘Traffic Breach’. CAD does not record these offences to the specificity requested in the question.
The number of Traffic Breach calls received by WA Police for 2014-15 Financial Year for the requested suburbs are:
Location
Number of Calls
Darch
35
Girrawheen
206
Landsdale
91
Madeley
44
Marangaroo
60
Warwick
54
Notes: Statistics are for Traffic Breach calls with job priority 2, 3, 4, or 7 (look out to be kept for – LOTBKF). Where a traffic breach is currently in progress or the vehicle is still in the vicinity, a priority of 2, 3, or 4 is allocated to the CAD task; whereas if the vehicle has left the scene of the alleged offence then a LOTBKF is allocated to the CAD task.
(5) The response required for this question would take a significant amount of time and resources to collate and process. It is therefore not possible for WA Police to obtain this information without significantly compromising other core policing activities.
(6) Number of Traffic Breach Calls for 2014-15 Financial Year for which police attended the scene of the alleged offence or spoke to the complainant are:
Location
Number of Calls Attended
Darch
18
Girrawheen
133
Landsdale
58
Madeley
29
Marangaroo
40
Warwick
37
