HEALTH — CARE SYSTEM — FATALITIES
114. Ms L. METTAM to the Minister for Health:
I
have a supplementary question. If the minister had departmental advice that
said that the relevant processes already existed, how long did it take
for the minister to assume his role as Minister for Health and take some
responsibility for the breakdown in such processes?

AnswerView source ↗

That question, quite frankly, does
not make sense. Let me re-emphasise: at my insistence the entire system was
overhauled to create a single system across our hospital system. We have
continued, like all hospital systems, to improve it to make sure that it meets
the needs of Western Australian patients.
