Minister for Transport:
I refer to the radio replacement
contract issued to Huawei.
(1) Have any issues been identified
that may cause a delay to the project?
(2) If yes to (1), what issues have
been identified?
(3) If yes to (1), how long is the
completion of the project expected to be delayed?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Transport.
(1)–(3) All
projects have risks and issues identified for risk management purposes. This
includes the previously publicised risks arising from the uncertain and
ever-changing international geopolitical environment. The joint venture is
aiming to deliver the project as designed.
