The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(a) In January 2015, DFES submitted a Decision Regulatory Impact Statement in the form of a
Decision Paper: Review of the Emergency Services Acts
to the Regulatory Gatekeeping Unit (RGU) for assessment.
(b) The Decision Paper is still under consideration by the RGU. The RGU has provided preliminary feedback on two of ten chapters. At this stage the RGU is unable to confirm when the assessment will be completed.
