There have been a number of Government agencies and departments involved in the acquisition, retention and development of the Kemerton Industrial Park. The majority of the Kemerton Industrial Park (7,543 hectares) is in government ownership and was acquired over time since 1985. LandCorp has spent approximately $21.7 million on this acquisition process.
LandCorp's holding costs since 1985, comprising rates and taxes, total $1.76 million.
LandCorp's estimate of the remaining land acquisition costs total around $7 million.

Together with the Shire of Harvey there are three landowners in the expanded Industrial Core that will be directly affected by the expansion.
There are potentially nine private landowners in the expanded Buffer that could be affected through the expansion.
