SYNERGY — BILLING SYSTEM
I refer to the up to 20 000 Synergy customers who have electricity bills due but not yet issued. (1) When will these customers receive their accounts? (2) Can the minister guarantee that the late issuing of accounts will affect only customers in this particular billing cycle, or will this problem last several billing cycles? Hon PETER COLLIER

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) Synergy is working as quickly as possible to issue these bills to customers. It would require an unacceptable amount of resources to determine the exact date that these customers will receive their bills. (2) Synergy is confident that this is not an ongoing problem.
