At present Western Power uses coal and gas to generate electricity -
(1) Which is the cheaper medium for the servicing of the metropolitan area?
(2) In the longer term will the use of gas increase at the expense of coal?
(3) Will the adoption of the Kyoto protocol on greenhouse gas emission have any effect on the use of coal or gas as a medium for generating electricity and if so what is the likely effect?
