period did the 2007 ''State of the Environment Report'' cover?
(2) Why has
the government not requested an update to the 2007 ''State of the
Environment Report''?

steps, if any, have been taken to prepare an updated report on the state of the

the community of Western Australia have access to an updated state of the
environment report?

I thank the
member for some notice of the question.
(1) From 1998
to 2006.
(2)–(4) There
are no plans at this stage to undertake an updated state of the environment
report. However, the state of Western Australia's environment was
canvassed in the national ''State of the Environment'' report
published in 2011.
(5)–(6)
The 2007 report was a report of the Environmental Protection Authority. The
government of the day did not respond to the report.
