HAYLEY DODD — POLICE INVESTIGATION
990. Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH to
the Attorney General representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to The Sunday
Times story dated 1 December 2013 titled ''Hayley case rapist twist
shocks mum'', which states that the mother of missing teenager Hayley
Dodd said she had no idea that the Badgingarra property being searched for her
daughter's body was once owned by a convicted rapist.
(1) When did
the police first become aware that the property was once owned by Francis John
Wark, a convicted rapist?
(2) How did
police become aware of that fact?
(3) What
action, if any, did the police take following this information coming to light?

On behalf of the
Minister for Police, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3) These
questions relate to a current homicide investigation and, as a result, Western
Australia Police will not be commenting on current investigations for legal
reasons.
