SENIORS — HOME SECURITY DEVICE REBATE 144. Hon MATT BENSON-LIDHOLM to the Minister for Seniors and Volunteering: I refer to the Liberal Party’s election policy to provide a $200 rebate to seniors for home security devices. Given there are about 199 833 households where one or more Seniors Card holders reside, I ask — (1) Can the minister confirm that a $10 million funding allocation has been approved in line with the Liberal Party election financial document? (2) Given that this election commitment will cost some $39 million, can the minister explain how she will choose which seniors will be able to secure their homes? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY
