BURSWOOD
STADIUM — SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE
734. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
My question, of which some notice
has been given, I believe may have been redirected to the Minister for Finance
representing the Minister for Transport.
(1) What is
the estimated operating costs for the proposed shuttle bus service to support
people parking in the CBD accessing the proposed Burswood stadium?
(2) Will users of the stadium be expected to cover the operating
cost of this service?

I thank the
honourable member for notice of this question. The Public Transport Authority
advises —
(1) The estimated operating costs for the
proposed shuttle bus service to support people parking in the CBD and accessing
the new Perth stadium will be included within estimates contained in the new
stadium transport master plan.
(2) No direct fare
will be charged for users of these services.
Hon Ken Travers : So who's going to pay for it?
Hon SIMON O'BRIEN : That is the bigger picture, Ken, get used
to it!
Several members interjected.
The PRESIDENT : Order!
