Prisoners—Escapes
131. Hon Nick Goiran to
the minister representing the Minister for
Corrective Services:
I refer to the
minister's answer on 25 February 2026 to my question without notice 29 wherein the
minister advised that there is still one unfinalised investigation into prison
escapes.
(1) What is the date of the escape under
investigation?
(2) What is causing the delay in this
investigation being finalised?
(3) When is it
expected to be finalised?
(4) Given the minister's refusal to
provide any information about the two previous investigations, what information
is the minister willing to provide so that the public can have a modicum of
confidence that these escapes will not be repeated?
