576. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
Minister for Agriculture and Food:
I refer to Water Corporation's introduction of water
saving programs to its residential and business customers in Denmark to help
conserve water.
(1) How many customers in Denmark have been selected for
Waterwise advice?
(2) How many
free showerhead swap services have been taken up by —
(a) residential;
and
(b) business
customers in Denmark since 1 December 2014?
(3) What has
been the cost since 1 December 2014 of the extension of the Waterwise Towns
program to Denmark?
(4) To date —
(a) how many home visits have been
made under the program; and
(b) how many leaks have been found
by the plumbing leak service?
(5) Will the current water restrictions come to an end on 29
May 2015?

On behalf of the Minister for Water, I thank the honourable
member for some notice of this question.
(1) A total of 1 812 customers have been selected.
(2) (a) 195; and
(b) Not applicable; the showerhead
swap program was only offered to residential customers.
(3) The cost of the program has been $151 777.
(4) (a) 83; and
(b) 21 plumbing leak visits have
been conducted.
(5) Yes. Please note the winter sprinkler ban will come into
effect in Denmark on 1 June 2015.
