Burswood Park motorplex
640. Hon Neil Thomson to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Planning and Lands:
I refer to the
federal member for Perth's belated but courageous statements opposing the state
Labor Party's position on the Burswood Peninsula racetrack proposal.
(1) Has the minister sought advice from the
Western Australian Planning Commission on the compliance of the racetrack with
existing planning strategies affecting Burswood Peninsula?
(2) If yes to (1), can the minister table that
advice?
(3) Has the minister sought advice from the
Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage on the land assembly requirements to
facilitate the racetrack?
(4) If yes to (3), can the minister table that
advice?
(5) Has the minister or the department contacted
Crown casino about land that it owns which is required for the racetrack?
(6) If yes to (5), who made that contact and when
was it made?
